Terms of Use
Last updated 27 August 2026. Operator: The Gecko Corporation Pty Ltd, ABN 87 079 842 747. Contact: [email protected].
1. Agreement
By using https://inflection.cloud (the “Site”) you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site. Editorial expectations for writers are in the Editorial Guidelines; they sit alongside these terms, they do not replace them.
2. The Site
Inflection cloud publishes personal stories and offers public browser games, including Paper Portrait Puzzle, Fallen Angel, Max Mannix Family Holiday, Snake Pit, Fruit Match, and Fruit Memory. There are no member accounts or passwords on this Site. Story submissions are by email only. A custom photo sliding puzzle or matching game sold on Etsy is a digital good: one private play URL for the buyer to keep or forward, plus any files attached to that Etsy order. Payment is taken by Etsy. It is not a physical jigsaw, and it is not Klotski.
Stories are written by their named authors. They are not advice, and they are not our opinions. They may include mature themes. Resemblance to real people or events may be coincidental or may reflect an author’s own experience; we do not warrant that any story is factually complete.
3. Age
You may read the Site if that is lawful where you are. If you send a story or other material, you confirm you are 18 or older, or that you have the consent of a parent or guardian. Do not send material about a child unless you have authority to do so and you accept it may be published.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Site for unlawful, harassing, or deceptive purposes;
- attempt to break, overload, scrape at a harmful scale, or bypass security on the Site;
- introduce malware;
- misrepresent that you speak for us;
- copy the Site’s design or games for a competing public service without permission.
You may view pages and play the public games for personal, non-commercial use. You may share links to pages. You may not republish our compiled Site, or an author’s story, as if it were yours.
5. Stories you send us
If you email a story, you confirm it is your original work (or you have all rights needed), it is not defamatory or unlawfully disclosing someone else’s private information, and it meets the Editorial Guidelines.
You keep copyright in your story. By submitting it you grant us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to reproduce, edit for clarity, publish on the Site, and promote the story (including an excerpt and your author name) on the Site and our social channels. We may decline or later take down a story. We are not obliged to publish.
That licence is narrower than a full assignment. We do not claim to own your name, voice, or likeness beyond using them to credit and promote the story you sent.
6. Games
Public games are free browser puzzles that run on this Site. They are provided as-is for entertainment. We may change or withdraw a public game at any time.
A private Etsy game is licensed to the buyer for personal use. The play URL is unguessable and not listed on the Site. Do not publish someone else’s private puzzle link. We may replace a broken link if you still have the Etsy order; we do not have to keep a play URL forever.
7. Our intellectual property
The Site’s compilation, design, Games code, and our own marks are ours or our licensors’. Authors retain copyright in their stories as above. Do not use “Inflection” or our branding in a way that suggests we endorse you, except to link to the Site in ordinary language.
8. Third parties
Ads, share buttons, and video embeds are provided by others (including Google and Vimeo). Their terms and privacy rules apply when you interact with them. We are not responsible for other websites we link to.
9. Australian Consumer Law
If you are a consumer in Australia, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that we cannot exclude. Goods and services (including this Site) come with guarantees that cannot be excluded. Where we are allowed to limit our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee, we limit it to supplying the services again or paying the cost of having them supplied again.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies a right or guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Disclaimer and liability
Subject to section 9, the Site is provided as a free publication. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful code, or that stories are accurate. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of data arising from your use of the Site or from relying on a story. Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of these terms or the Site is limited to AUD 100, except where section 9 requires otherwise.
11. Changes and termination
We may change these terms by posting a new version on this page. The date at the top will change. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new terms. We may suspend or stop the Site, or remove content, at any time.
12. General
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If a court finds a part unenforceable, the rest remains. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and us about the Site. They supersede any earlier terms for this Site.
Formal legal notices to us must be emailed to [email protected].
